Coach Note: This block develops attacking intent. Players learn to drive forward, play the puck past defenders, and apply pressure by chasing and supporting the attack. The key skill in this block is flicking. Players should work on improving and applying flicking throughout all drills in this section.
- Coach introduces puck into open space.
- Player collects and drives forward immediately.
- Other players track and support the attack.
Coaching Focus:
- Immediate forward movement
- No hesitation or sideways drift
- Support reacts early
Success Criteria:
- Player attacks forward immediately after collecting the puck
- Support reacts early and stays connected
- Attack does not slow or drift sideways
Badge Opportunities:

- Attacker approaches defender with puck.
- If forward path is blocked, attacker flicks past defender.
- Attacker immediately chases the puck.
- Attacker applies pressure from behind.
Coaching Focus:
- Recognize when space is blocked
- Immediate chase after flick
- Force defender to turn
Success Criteria:
- Puck is flicked past the defender into usable space
- Attacker chases immediately after the flick
- Defender is forced to turn and recover

- Both attackers chase the puck.
- Support player is ready to receive or recover.

- Attack continues after flick
Success Criteria:
- Support stays within passing or recovery distance
- Both attackers react to the flick immediately
- Attack continues forward without stopping

- Attack begins with forward drive.
- When blocked, attacker flicks past defender.
- Attackers chase and apply pressure.
- Play continues without stopping.
Coaching Focus:
- Continuous attacking pressure
- No slowing after flick
- Defenders repeatedly forced to turn
Success Criteria:
- Attack maintains pressure after each flick
- Defenders do not reset easily
- Forward momentum is maintained
