Snorkels are a tube that runs from the players mouth to just behind their head. The player can breathe through the snorkel while they are on the surface with their face in the water. This allows players to watch the game underwater while they breathe. When the player dives down to the puck the snorkel will fill with water. As they surface again they can clear the water out of the snorkel by exhaling quickly, blowing all the water out of the snorkel.
